Pediatrics
Traditional, primary pediatric care informed by a functional, whole-body approach.
We deliver primary pediatric care with a common sense, functional medicine approach that helps your child achieve good health—going beyond simple symptom management.
Your child is unique. Your child’s healthcare should be just as unique.
Every child has their own unique health story. Our principles of educate, equip and empower drive us to know that story, so we can help your child live their fullest life. Our whole-body, functional medicine approach to primary-care has us not just looking for a quick script to address a symptom, but to a fuller understanding of why your child is having a symptom. Your child’s body has an awesome, innate ability to heal itself, and our biomedical training enables us to work with your child’s body to do just that: to heal itself naturally.
Complexity Friendly
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). PANS/PANDAS. Chronic allergy. Chronic inflammation. For a child with a complex, chronic health issue, nothing about routine pediatric care is routine. We understand the chaos of a common malady being negatively influenced by a complex health issue or a complex health issue being negatively influenced by common malady. We understand the anxiety of annual wellness care when burdened by a complex health issue.
Vaccine Friendly
We space vaccine administration out. We sprinkle, not dunk: typically two vaccinations per visit; typically a month between vaccination visits. Our patients are fully vaccinated within the range recommended by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
We use vaccine titer testing to determine immunity prior to boosters. The state recognizes proven immunity; we use it to protect our patients from unnecessary “booster” vaccinations.
We allow for informed caregiver decision making. Each passing day leaves an ever decreasing space for providers and parents to make informed medical decisions, but we will remain in that space.
